It is best to compare the garment measurements from the description to a similar garment, with about the same weight ( i.e. a thick sweater is best to compare to another more heavy weight sweater.),  in your own closet. 

All measurements are taken flat from the garment. (i.e. place the garment on a flat surface and use a measuring tape or ruler to take the measurements as specified below.
